Friends and Students of Fantasie Music, Welcome back and we are excited to announce that we have three new lesson rooms.  They are newly renovated and located on the second floor, above Fantasie Music.

The Resurva booking service will remain open and students will be able to book and pay for lessons online. You can book these lessons online at https://fantasiemusic.resurva.com/.

We will then put you in touch with the instructor by email or by phone and from there the teacher will coordinate with you.

  • Dilshan Weerasignhe Guitar

    Whether you want to learn how to solo over complex John Coltrane songs, learn how to lay down a James Brown style funk groove, strum out three chords to your favourite pop songs, or rock out on one chord to a punk rock anthem, I’ll find out what teaching style, and approach to music works best for you, to help you to make the music you love!

  • Iryna Gerus – Piano & Vocals

    A performer since the age of five, Ukraine-born pop singer Iryna Gerus has toured in Poland, Russia, Germany, the Slovak Republic, India and Jordan.

  • Joseph Dowell

    Joseph Dowell (BMUS) is an accomplished, locally trained solo and collaborative pianist with a passion for classical music. He enjoys performing on his own and with others and loves teaching piano/music theory. His goal in teaching is to keep students engaged and fulfilled with their music studies and he adapts to students’ learning styles and musical goals.

     

  • Linshan Sui Zither (guzheng)

    Linshan has been playing the Chinese Zither (guzheng) for over 12 years.  She will make a combination of traditional and pop music and help students discover the traditional Chinese music in a new way. 

  • Luke Arsenault Bass and Guitar

    Luke is a Halifax born bassist specializing in R&B and funk bass with over 12 years experience performing and recording as a freelance musician.

  • Serkan Süer Drums

    Serkan Suer has been playing drums for 23 years. He has performed as session musician for professional records; also performing as a stage musician in various musical styles.

  • Stephen Fewer Guitar

    Specializing in guitar performance, structured practice, and technical development, Stephen can be found teaching almost every day of the week either at Dalhousie University or at FRSPA!

  • Su Peitai – Pipa

    Learn to play the Pipa with Su.   SU is a professional player with 20 years experience performing internationally at various contests and performances.  Some awards include the Child Star performance,  has reached level 10 from the Chinese Musicians Association and has passed the music teacher certificate which she has since helped other Pipa players attain.

     

  • Victoria Ioannou Violin

    Victoria Ioannou holds a Bachelor of Music from Acadia University where she studied with Gillian Smith. She previously studied with Conrad Chow with the Royal Conservatory of Music.
